Library Club RAAH organized competition in DAV College-10 Chandigarh.
CHANDIGARH, 23 FEBRUARY: The library and RAAH – The Library Club organised a Story Telling/Poem Recitation competition entitled “किस्सा : अपनी कल्पना का सफर” in the library on February 21, 2024. The event started with Nandini holding the stage. Yash Soni President of RAAH- The Library Club highlighted the importance of stories which must be sustained in this era of active social media. Librarian Dr. (Mrs.) Deepti Madaan welcomed everyone and expressed that RAAH the library club has recreated the time of her childhood days of listening stories from the parents and grandparents. She conveyed the best wishes of the college principal Prof. Rita Jain.
The judges of the event were Dr. Suneeta Patnayak and Dr. Nishtha Saxena from the department of English of the college. The participants told stories and recited poems in different genres. Some of them were self composed too. The winners namely Rishabh (First), Yash (second), Himika (third) and Annum (consolation) were awarded the copy of Holy Gita and a certificate. The judges appreciated the endeavour of the Library and Library Club – RAAH and motivated the students to continue the habit of healthy reading and writing. The event depicted great zeal and fervour.
