Municipal Co-ordination Committee of Chandigarh Beopar Mandal called on Mayor

Ravi Kant Sharma Mayor assured Garbage collection after opening of shops at 11 am and regular Sanitization of Markets by the Municipal Corporation

CHANDIGARH: A delegation of Municipal Corporation Co-ordination Committee of Chandigarh Beopar Mandal consisting of Charanjiv Singh President, Satpal Gupta Chairman, Sanjeev Chadha Chairman M.C. Co-ordination Committee, Jagdish Kapoor Advisor, Balwinder Singh Advisor, Bhupinder Narad, Advisor,Bharat Bhushan Kapila Executive Member, Mohit Sood Secretary today called on Mayor Ravi Kant Sharma with a Memorandum raising the following issues:-

1. Garbage collection process from the markets need to be made practical by collecting the garbage after the opening of business establishments as well as since garbage is mostly normal brooming and dusting hence there should be reasonable Garbage collection charges by the Municipal Corporation.

2. The Rs.118/- being charged by M.C. on each transaction to pay property tax on line should be waived off immediately.

3. All markets should be properly sanitized regularly against the Covid Virus.

4. During limited shopping hours during Lockdown there should be no harassment by the anti encroachment staff of the M.C.

Ravi Kant Sharma Mayor, assured the delegation that the Garbage will be lifted from the markets after opening of shops at 11 am and markets will be sanitized wherever required. Waiver of Rs.118/- as service charges for deposit of Property Tax will be considered and there will no harassment of traders from the enforcement staff and illegal Vendors will be removed from Markets.
