Executive body meeting of Chandigarh Beopar Mandal approves 6 new members including Deputy Mayor of the City Anup Gupta 
CBM constitutes 3 new committees namely Income Tax Coordination, Food Act. Coordination and Legal Cell to fight unjust laws and regulations prevailing in the city 

CHANDIGARH, 17 AUGUST: In a very well attended executive body meeting of Chandigarh Beopar Mandal (CBM). which was held today in hotel Park Grand. many important decisions were taken in addition to deliberations over working in the last few months. The two hour meeting presided by Charanjiv Singh, President CBM was attended by more than 80 executive body members. The meeting started with slogans on Azadi Ka Mahutsav on 75th the independence Day and Beopari Vandana.  

Charanjiv Singh President Chandigarh Beopar Mandal read out activity report of CBM in the last 4 months namely meeting with all the concerned officials of UT administration and Municipal Corporation over different issues including an important meeting with Advisor UT and Smt. Kirron Kher, Member Parliament.

An important meeting with  Adviser U T  for early planning of Warehousing Complex in Sector 38 (West) and Industrial Area, Phase-III as per Master Plan, 2031 so important for tent dealers was applauded in the meeting. Charanjiv Singh President CBM announced appointment of Diwakar Sahoonja a former president as Chairman Legal Cell, Darpan Kapoor of Kapsons Sector-17 an eminent businessman to head Income Tax Coordination Committee and Sharanjit Singh of Gopal Sweets as Chairman of Food Safety Act. Committee.


Baljinder Gujral, Gen. Secy. presented report of Membership Committee and 6 new members were approved by the House including Anup Gupta the new Deputy Mayor who is also President of Timber Market Association. Diwakar Sahoonja spoke about need to use al E-business and Technology for growth of businesses and that and very soon CBM will provide business portal for local businesses. Ram Karan Gupta, Chairman, GST Coordination Committee also read comprehensive report about various meetings with GST Officials. Sanjeev Chadha, Chairman, M.C. Coordination Committee read his working report especially relief achieved about huge fines for Advertisement Boards and Honor to CBM members by M.C.  Kamaljit Singh Panchhi, Chairman Police Coordination Committee also read report about various meetings and tasks performed with Police Coordination in the city.

 Anil Vohra, Patron, CBM shared the list of CBM functionaries nominated to different important posts of Bhartiya Udyog Vyapar Mandal namely Sh. Charanjiv Singh as Vice President, Sh. Parshottam Mahajan as Advisor, Sh. Anil Vohra as Gen. Secy., Sh. Kamaljit Singh Panchhi as Organizing Secy. and Sh. Baljinder Gujaral as Executive Member. Others who spoke on the occasion were Sewa Singh Rayat, President Furniture Market Sector 34 who spoke about illegal Furniture Market and worsening civic conditions in the markets, Balwinder Singh, President, Sector 46 market who spoke about menace of illegal vendors in the Markets.
