CBM DEMANDS REDUCTION IN VAT RATES ON FOOTWEAR AND READYMADE GARMENTS AS WELL


CHANDIGARH: The GST coordination sub-committee of CBM today expressed gratitude to the Union Finance Minister for deferring Increase in GST rates from 5% to 12 % upon Fabric which was supposed to be implemented w.e.f First January, 2022 

Charan Jiv Singh President CBM said thousands of cloth merchants will have sigh of relief since their trade was in danger of turning into nonviable traders. Ram Karan Gupta Chairman Sub-committee on GST of CBM thanked local administration for forwarding sentiments of traders of ity to the Central Govt. in time. Diwakar Sahoonja Patron and  Sanjeev Chadha  Gen. Secy. respectively of CBM said CBM will now seek relief for dealers in footwear and readymade garments
