CHANDIGARH, 26 APRIL: The Library of DAV College, Sector-10 and RAAH, the Library club of DAV College organized an exhibition of rare books and manuscripts in the Lal Chand Research Library.
College Librarian, Mrs. Deepti Madaan who gave a digital presentation of journey of Lal Chand Research Library from its history to its transformation in digitised mode. Principal, Dr. Pawan Sharma addressed and enlightened the students about the ancient Indian knowledge which is incorporated in rare books and hand written manuscripts. This rare collection of books and manuscripts dating back to many centuries is duly preserved in the Lal Chand Research Library.
The staff and students of various faculties visited the exhibition and took keen interest in the unparalled legacy. Mrs. Rajni Jindal Asstt. Librarian explained the contents of rare books and manuscripts. The exhibition ended with a vote of thanks by Ms. Pooja Saraf, Assistant Librarian in the Library. The student members of RAAH namely Akaash, Himanshu, Nishtha, Himanshi, Vanshika and Rahul put in the best of their efforts in organizing this exhibition. This rare collection will be on display for the next 3 days.
