Former AAP leader, Yogendra Yadav Congratulates Arvind Kejriwal on exit poll predictions

Exit Polls 2022: Most of the post-poll polls have predicted a massive victory for AAP in the Punjab Assembly polls, with News24-Today’s Chanakya projecting 111 seats for Kejriwal’s party.

NEW DELHI, 07 MARCH: Former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Yogendra Yadav on Monday congratulated Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal after predicting a massive victory for the Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab. Yogendra Yadav, who is also an election scientist, said on Twitter that the exit polls clearly indicate a “thumping majority” for the AAP.

Most of the post-poll polls have predicted a massive victory for the AAP in the Punjab Assembly polls, with News24-Today’s Chanakya projecting 111 seats for Kejriwal’s party. The India Today-My Axis India exit poll has predicted 76-90 seats for the AAP, while the Congress is likely to be narrowed down to 31 seats.

Bhagwant Mann will become the next Chief Minister of Punjab if the exit poll figures are correct.

Punjab witnessed a high-decibel election campaign, especially in the last days after Kumar Vishwas, another former AAP leader, leveled damaging allegations against Kejriwal. Vishwas claimed that Kejriwal was ready to take the support of separatist elements to win the Punjab Assembly elections in 2017 by compromising on India’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

The Delhi chief minister came back with a “sweet terrorist” argument and highlighted his party’s work in the national capital.

Kejriwal said, “Narendra Modi ji, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Captain Amarinder, Channi sahib, Sukhbir Badal, Sidhu… all of them are now alleging that for the last 10 years, Kejriwal is planning to divide the country into two halves. And I will be the PM of one of the two parts. This is a comedy… can it happen?” Kejriwal told reporters in Bathinda.
