CHANDIGARH, 22 FEB: Haryana Government has decided that B.Tech Degrees and Diplomas in Engineering awarded by Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) upto academic year 2010-11 and 2011-12 will also be treated as valid for the purpose of initial appointments and promotions.
The letter issued by the Chief Secretary, Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal here today states that this relief has been given following the Judgment of Supreme Court and instructions issued by All India Council of Technical Education. The Technical Education Department which is the Nodal Department is directed to ensure strict compliance of these instructions.
