CCPCR organizes Online Quiz to enhance knowledge of children staying at home

75,826 children of city participated in online Quiz: CCPCR

CHANDIGARH: Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights (CCPCR) organized Online Quizzes on the following topics :

  • Mental Math
  • Immunity boosting

A total number of 75,826 students participated in the online quiz. The Mental Math quiz was comprised of multiple-choice questions based on mental maths. The objective of the quiz was to help enhance children’s ability in problem-solving and enable them to correlate the concepts of Mathematics with their daily life. A total of 111 children got the first position in mental math from different schools of Chandigarh.

Positions: (CLASS 6TH TO 8TH MENTAL MATHS)

1st Position:           73 students got 1st position by securing 40/40 points.

2nd Position:          80 students got 2nd position by securing 39/40 points.

3rd Position:          123 students got 3rd position by securing 38/40 points.

Positions : (CLASS 9TH TO 10TH MENTAL MATHS)

1st Position:           38 students got 1st position by securing 40/40 points.

2nd Position:          52 students got 2nd position by securing 39/40 points.

3rd Position:          79 students got 3rd position by securing 38/40 points.

A total number of 33428 students from Govt. schools of Chandigarh participated in the contest of Immunity Boosting. The quiz comprised of multiple-choice questions based on Immunity boosting, its importance and COVID-19 awareness. The main objective of conducting this quiz was to create and test students’ awareness on the said topics as it is very essential to make our students aware about increasing their immunity and fight against this dreadful pandemic situation.

Positions : (CLASS 6TH TO 10TH IMMUNITY BOOSTING)

1st Position  :     243 students got 1st position by securing 30/30 points.

2nd Position  :    382 students got 2nd position by securing 29/30 points.

3rd Position  :     564 students got 3rd position by securing 28/30 points

The contest was coordinated by Sh. Kapil Mohan Sood, TGT (Maths), GHS-53, Chandigarh and Sh. Chanchal Singh, RTE Consultant, CCPCR.

Ms. Harjinder Kaur, Chairperson, CCPCR expressed her satisfaction and delight on the over whelming number of student participation and said that Commission has regularly been working towards enhancing children’s knowledge; and providing them innovative platform to enhance knowledge and stay protected. Our immunity ambassadors will continue to reach the masses to ensure 100% safety of each child of city beautiful.

Ms. Niti Mohan, Empanelled Consultant, CCPCR said that we will be delivering participation certificates to each student and awards to the winner on a special occasion.
