CHANDIGARH: नगर निगम चुनाव के लिए वोटिंग को अब महज 10 दिन ही बचे हैं लेकिन राजनीतिक दलों में टिकट वितरण को लेकर चल रही नाराजगी के बीच नेताओं का पार्टी छोड़ने का सिलसिला अब तक जारी है। आज चंडीगढ़ प्रदेश कांग्रेस के संगठन सचिव हरजिंदर सिंह ने भी अपने पद से इस्तीफा देने के साथ ही पार्टी भी छोड़ने का ऐलान कर दिया। बता दें कि हरजिंदर सिंह वरिष्ठ कांग्रेस नेता एवं इंडियन ट्रेड यूनियन कांग्रेस (इंटक) के पूर्व चंडीगढ़ प्रदेश अध्यक्ष कुलबीर सिंह के सगे भाई हैं।
कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष श्रीमती सोनिया गांधी को लिखे अपने त्यागपत्र में हरजिंदर सिंह ने आरोप लगाते हुए कहा है कि वह महसूस कर रहे हैं कि चंडीगढ़ में कांग्रेस अब सच्चे कांग्रेसियों के हाथ में नहीं रह गई है। जो लोग यहां कांग्रेस का नेतृत्व कर रहे हैं, वह पार्टी के हितों को नजरंदाज कर अपने स्वार्थ की पूर्ति करने में लगे हुए हैं। यही कारण है कि चंडीगढ़ नगर निगम चुनाव के लिए ऐसे कई उम्मीदवारों का चयन किया गया, जो कई बार चुनाव हार चुके हैं।
हरजिंदर सिंह ने अपने त्यागपत्र में कई और गम्भीर बातें भी कही हैं। हम यहां उनका त्यागपत्र हू-ब-हू प्रकाशित कर रहे हैं। पढ़िए उन्होंने क्या-क्या कहा है- ?

Subject:- Resignation from the post of Organisational Secretary Chandigarh Territorial Congress Committee.
Respected Madam,
I am writing to notify you that I am resigning from the post of Organisational Secretary as well as from the Primary Membership of the party.
I have had joined INTUC in 1978 and have been serving the Congress party ever since then.
Also, I want you to bring it in your kind notice that I feel the Chandigarh Congress Party is not in the hands of true congressman. Those who are leading the party are watching their own self interest by keeping away from the interest of the party at large. In the ensuing Municipal Corporation Elections they have chosen the candidates who has lost the elections several times.
Moreover, I feel the Congress Party have ignored the loyal party workers such as Smt. Sheela Phool Singh who has won elections consecutively three times and is also a sitting member of the outgoing house.
In addition, Congress President has even ignored the president of the Chandigarh Territorial Youth Congress Sh. Manoj Lubana and Sh. Kulbir Singh who been serving as President of the Indian National Trade Union congress Chandigarh for almost 15 years.
Further it is also to bring it to your kind attention that due to the arrogance of senior leaders of the Chandigarh Congress numbers of Ex- office bearers has left the party and joined other opposition parties.
I intend to go on to other opportunities, which will hopefully allow me to continue to serve the public in the same manner.
