CHANDIGARH, 9 CHANDIGARH: A three day exhibition on centuries old Rare books and Manuscripts held at Lal Chand Research Library, DAV College, Sector-10, Chandigarh came to its conclusion on 8th November 2023. Inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Navdeep Goyal, Professor, Deptt. of Physics, Senate and Syndic, PU, Chandigarh, college Principal Prof.(Mrs.) Rita Jain conveyed her blessings and best wishes to the students of RAAH -the Library Club.
The exhibition was visited by large number of faculty members and students. The closing ceremony saw the giving away of prizes to the winners of poster competition and quiz on Rare books and manuscripts which were the hallmarks of the event. Awards to the prize winners of these contests were given by librarian Dr. (Mrs.) Deepti Madaan and member, library committee Dr. (Mrs.) Suman Bharti. Yash Soni, President of the RAAH- The Library Club gave a formal vote of thanks. The event ended with Saurav Jairath, Joint Secretary of the club reciting a poem motivating the students to work hard and read healthy. The event was a joint effort of entire library staff and students of RAAH -The Library Club – Yash Soni, Divyanshi, Nitin Rathi, Saurav Jairath, Nandini, Deepalaya, Puneet, Aryan Yadav, Harnoor and Kavya.
