RAAH the library club of DAV College, Sector-10, Chandigarh organized a motivational talk on Leadership by Vishal Batra

CHANDIGARH, 2 JUNE: Library of DAV College, Sector-10, Chandigarh and RAAH, the library club organized a motivational talk on Leadership on June 2nd, 2022. The keynote speaker of the talk was Mr. Vishal Batra, twin brother of captain Vikram Batra who made a supreme sacrifice of his life in Kargil war in the year 1999. An alumnus of DAV College, Sector-10, Chandigarh, he is currently Country business head for Defence and Military.

The event started by paying homage to valiant martyrs who were also alumni of the college. Speaking on the event, Principal Dr. Pawan Sharma welcomed the chief guest and inspired the students to utilize their skills, intellect and knowledge in the rightful pursuits. He wished them to become strength of the nation. This was followed by college librarian Mrs. Deepti Madaan who accorded welcome to everyone present. She exhorted the student community to work hard for their holistic development.

RAAH president Akaash apprised everyone about the mission of the club and various activities held by RAAH, the Library Club from time to time. This was followed by Mr. Vishal Batra who unfolded various aspects of leadership before the students. He enlightened them with various ways and means which can enable them to become dynamic leaders of today and tomorrow. A leader has to make learning his lifelong passion.

He should have the knack of visualising what others cannot visualise. Another much needed quality is to keep pace with the changing times. A true leader has the sterling quality of giving due credit to his team members which is a great booster.

He emphasised the importance of 3 Hs: Head, Heart and Hands whose wholehearted application in any task can ensure its successful compliance. The event ended with a final vote of thanks by Himanshu, Vice President, RAAH the library club and Himanshi, joint secretary, RAAH the library club. Nishtha, General Secretary, RAAH the library club and Vanshika, executive member, RAAH the library club anchored the event.
