‘Treasure Hunt’ program held in DAV College-10: Students searched maximum books in minimum time

CHANDIGARH, 10 FEBRUARY: The library of DAV College Sector-10 Chandigarh alongwith RAAH- The Library Club organised a Treasure Hunt of the Books in the library. The purpose of the treasure hunt was to bring the tech-savvy students of today’s times closure to the library and develop healthy reading habits and other skills like team work, discipline etc. Prof. Rita Jain, principal conveyed her best wishes to the participating teams. The event started with librarian Dr. Deepti Madaan apprising the participants about OPAC alongwith the instructions to be followed. All the section incharges namely Mr. Shelinder Sharma, Ms. Pooja Saraf, Mrs. Rajni Jindal and Mr. Harpreet Singh guided the students. The event received an overwhelming response from the enthusiastic students. They took keen interest and participated actively in searching the books through OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) and in a time bound manner. The best two teams who hunted maximum books in minimum time were given book and the certificates as the prizes. The RAAH Team comprising Yash, Divyanshi, Mridul, Soppan, Puneet, Nitin, Nisarg, Saurav Jairath, Harnoor and Aditi worked hard for the successful accomplishment of this event.
